Chuck and Larry Thoughts 09/19/2011
So ...I finally saw Chuck and Larry last night and was amazed. No, i'm sure the movie wasn't a HUGE blockbuster at theaters, but it really made me think. There's a scene in the movie where a gay party ends and upon leaving the place the people are met by an organization that is protesting them for being gay. The "pastor" calls Adam Sandler's character a "fagot" and some of the gay people are seen crying, which leads to Sandler's character punching the guy and everyone cheers. In real life this would have resulted in an arrest and lawsuit, but it was an eye opening moment. See I have met gay people...hell I have been hit on by a man, but I never thought anything of it other than that's the life they are living. I am not gay and don't think I could ever have relations with a man, but I would never say it's wrong to be gay. Upon some investigation I have seen this type of thing isn't very uncommon...it's called HATE. There are "churches" that ask the people to actively protest gays just for being gay. They invade peoples most private moments to harass and de mine people for what they are. I just read a story about a "church" protesting at a soldier's funeral because he was gay. HE DIED IN A WAR SERVING HIS COUNTRY AND THESE PIECES OF CRAP PROTESTED HIS FUNERAL BECAUSE HE WAS GAY. This is "in my opinion" why America is one of the most hated countries in the world. People are ignorant, full of hate, unable to find compassion for ANYONE but themselves, and are just RACIST. On a daily basis I hear one of the following words...Nigger, spick, gook, chink, sand nigger, it goes on. What is the word that the white man is called to deprive him of his dignity? Honkey? No people laugh at that. White boy? That's what they are. Hmmm...Try calling a group of guys gay or fagots and see what happens. This country sickens me so badly sometimes I want to leave. Then I think if all the people that get upset about problems like this would leave, then America would be full of these piece of crap racists. I have a long lineage in America as my family can be traced back for many years of being civil servants for the Armed Forces, Fire and Police Departments and I may even be related to the man who is said to be the "Father of The US Navy", and I will be damned if the actions of these racist people will tarnish America and my family by making me feel like I should leave. I have heard some horrible things in my short life and seen worse, but nothing is more appalling to me than an "organization" with the sole purpose of telling other that "God hates them because they are gay." The age old question of "Can't we all get along?" has had the same answer for 10,000 years…no we can't. America has many enemies, but none greater than some Americans.
